VEGA XTS SHORTY HELMET - DOT

submitted by FrogBiker

Vega XTS HelmetMy very first helmet was actually too big for me, it was a Harley-Davidson helmet in a size small. When I took my MSF course I quickly realized I needed an x-small and set out to find a reasonably priced, shorty helmet that didn't make me look too much like a mushroom was perched on me. Oh, and it had to be a DOT helmet.

I found the Vega XT series (under $80 at that time and now found fir even less) and ordered a Pearl White to match my Pearl White Harley-Davidson Sportster Hugger. I loved the helmet! It was light-weight, had a snap-off visor that allowed me to use a snap-on face-shield (separately ordered) and was compact.

I have since ordered two more (different colors) and used them exclusively until I added an HJC 3/4 flip-face helmet for cooler temperature riding. I have recommended this helmet to many others and those that have purchased it have also loved it. A couple of sites that sell this are: Motorcycle Superstore, Power Sports Network and Helmets Etc.

Thanks to FrogBiker for submitting this personal review. Froggi has been riding since the summer of 2002 and wonders why she waited so long to start. She currently rides a 2005 Softail® Deluxe.
